With miles of cross country single track, endless scenic county roads, and Steamboat Resort's new bike park and downhill trails on Mt. Werner, there is something for everyone who enjoys the two-wheeled ride.
Steamboat Springs also happens to be home to two high-end custom bike manufacturers, Moots Cycles and Kent Eriksen Cycles, as well as Honey Stinger, an energy food manufacturer partially owned by seven-time Tour-de-France winner Lance Armstrong.
In 2011 the City of Steamboat Springs was designated a Bicycle Friendly Community at the Gold Level by the league of American cyclists. Steamboat Springs is also frequently found on the bicycle tour routes of Ride the Rockies, Bicycle Tour of Colorado, and the Tour of Wyoming.

Team Flying Wheels is sanctioned through USA BMX allowing racers to gain points and ranking at the State and National level. Visitors can obtain one-day trial memberships to USA BMX for a small fee which covers race insurance. Interested racers can register for weekly events on race day at 5:00PM at the Howelsen Hill BMX facility. Racing begins at 6:00PM.
