Couples get away

5/5 stars

We planned to bring our daughter but at the last minute she couldn’t make it, so just me and my husband went on this trip. The condo was incredible. We would have been comfortable w all 5 in our family. Everything is well thought out, organized and top quality. We loved the close shuttle to the ski area and the hot tub. Hope to return here to stay again!

We have stayed in many units all over the mountain in our 20+ years coming to Steamboat. This unit at Cross Timbers was by far the best. Amazing kitchen with all upgraded pots/pans/utensils. Excellent bedding. The views out all of the windows were breathtaking!

Beautiful home!

5/5 stars

Thank you Holsten family for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home. So much so, we are looking into getting our own place someday! We brought our youngest to of 3 boys who is a SR is HS on a little small getaway. We enjoyed skiing but the snow was not great. That's how it goes sometimes! But your home was perfect! Hoping to bring the rest of our family back one day. Our first visit to Steamboat as a family and we enjoyed everything your town had to offer. We spent a day snowmobiling that was awesome! You have paid such great attention to the detail here. Plenty of necessities! We loved the hot tub at night! We would recommend Back Door Grill, Ore House, Corner Slice Pizza and Mazzola's. Great food! Thank you again! We hope to be back one day! Justin and Amy Powell & Luke Powell Abilene Texas

Home is awesome

5/5 stars

Your home is awesome. From the second we stepped in the door we could tell you took great care of it. We felt very comfortable and warm. It is one of the cleanest homes we have stayed in. If we would have cooked, the kitchen seemed really well stocked. You pay attention to details... very thankful! Eating Suggestions: *Backdoor Grill - great burgers! *Fiesta Jalisco - Mexican yum! I had a wonderful massage at The Grand Spa. I just walked over there. Raquel was probably one of the best therapist I've ever had. Now back to Aurora, CO. Thank you!

Gorgeous

5/5 stars

We stayed at 2745 Cross Timbers (Cow Camp) for several weeks in the fall. This home is nicknamed “Cow Camp” and this theme is very apparent when you visit. The location is perfect - close to everything on the mountain. The pool and hot tub are very convenient as well. The home has a gorgeous view of the mountain from the front deck which is a perfect place to relax in the evening. There is a smaller back deck with incredible sunset views of the entire valley. The home itself is very comfortable - nice chairs for relaxing, plenty of room for dining at the big table, and a chef’s kitchen with gas range. The cow theme is notable in the decorations and the beautiful original artwork which is throughout the home. The beds are super comfortable and you are guaranteed a quiet nights sleep. Ceiling fans and air-conditioning are there for warm summer nights, and a cozy fireplace for cold winter nights. There is a nice desk for work (if you need to) and the internet is great. This is an above average townhome and one that is easy to enjoy. This is my choice for a Steamboat vacation.

Cow Camp is our first pick when we return to Steamboat!

5/5 stars

Our stay at “Cow Camp” was a treat. It is attractively and comfortably furnished. The completeness of the kitchen exceeded every rental that we have had for a ski trip. Every time we thought “do they have a….” we found it! The owners must love to cook. The convenience for skiing was amazing. We never a waited more than a minute or two for the shuttle, and found it much easier than some supposed ”ski-in ski-out” places where we have stayed in the past. The well thought out entry made it easy to keep all the ski gear organized and out of the living space. Top it off with great views and a beautiful collection of art work, Cow Camp is our first pick when we return to Steamboat!

Had a “Moo-velous” Stay at Cow Camp!

5/5 stars

My husband and I were fortunate to be able to stay at Cow Camp and ski at Steamboat the last week in January 2020. It was my husband’s third time to Steamboat and my first. We decided to stay at Cow Camp, and it was the right choice! Cow Camp is set up for skiers! There is a ski closet just outside the front entrance door to keep your skis cold and secure. The entry hallway has a heated tile floor, perfect for when you are taking your ski boots on and off! The benches and coat racks are conveniently placed, as are the cubbies by the front door to store your helmets, gloves, and goggles. Unlike other ski resorts Steamboat does not have a base lodge, so you must take the condo development’s shuttle bus to the mountain with your gear. Since we were skiing with a group with varying abilities, we were concerned that getting back to the condo would not be an issue. I have to say that the shuttle service was impeccable! We never had to wait more than five minutes in the morning for a pick-up. At the end of our skiing day, we would call for the shuttle and it would arrive in less than ten minutes at the Transit Center. The drivers and dispatchers were pleasant to deal with, and the shuttles were clean and well maintained. There are two main bedrooms in the unit: one on the ground floor and one on the third floor. The separation provided privacy for us and the couple staying with us. Each bedroom has a spacious ensuite bathroom. After a hard day of skiing, the beds are super comfy to snuggle into! There is a combo study/bedroom also on the ground floor that could be used for two additional guests. All bedrooms are tastefully decorated with cow- and western-themed art and furniture: incredibly fun and not overdone. The main second floor has an open-space concept, with a beautiful view of the mountain in the front of the unit off the deck. The kitchen is well equipped, so much so that we ate in just as much as we ate out! The cow theme continues with the dishes and glassware. The leather couch and chairs placed in front of the gas fireplace were the perfect place for us to relax and enjoy a little après-ski before dinner. One afternoon it was sunny enough for the four of us to enjoy a bottle of wine at the table on the deck and watch the sun set over Steamboat peak. The second floor also has a bathroom, so you do not have to run up or down stairs if need be. We were wonderfully comfortable staying at Cow Camp and are planning on returning again soon to experience more of what Steamboat has to offer! Barbara

Great place to start off 2020!

5/5 stars

We had such a wonderful stay at your lovely home! This was our first time in Steamboat Springs, and we were lucky to time it night after a huge dump of powder. This made for good skiing but also record crowds, and we were so grateful to come back to the peaceful oasis of the Cow Camp after braving the crowds! Your home is so warm and comfortable, with thoughtful touches for your guests. It was perfect for our family. What a great spot for our family ski vacation this year, and what a great place to start off 2020! Best wishes and Thanks from the McVeish Family

We want to thank the Holsten Family for a wonderful time at their Cow Camp. Our family really enjoyed our time here in Steamboat. Your condo is so comfortable and we loved the theme and all the nice touches. My daughters and I loved baking in your beautiful and well equipped kitchen.
